Acksharaa is a senior student at Bangkok Patana School, Thaliand and will be graduating in IGCSE next year. She took her baby steps in Bharat Natyam at the tender age of 6 years. During the journey of learning this dance form, she has performed several times on stage in Bangkok and in Guruvayoor.
Acksharaa juggles adeptly between her busy school schedules, her music and dance classes. She is also a keen student of both Carnatic and Western classical music (both vocal) and the piano. Her interest in history complements these performing art forms.
About Guru
Acksharaa has her formal training under various Gurus such as Smt. Vidya Sharanyan, Sri. Rajesh Vasudevan, Smt. Ambika Varma and finally in the hands of Dr.Lakshmi Ramaswamy.
Dr.Lakshmi Ramaswamy is a rare combination of an inspiring performer, giving teacher, creative choreographer amd an ardent researcher. She is a top grade artist of Doordharshan, recipient of National and International Fellowships (like ‘Fulbright’), honors and awards. She is also an empanelled artist in ICCR, SZCC, and serves in the board of different academic and selection committees. “Sri Mudhraalaya:, now 21 years old, is her brainchild where she trains young aspirants of Natya.
